Beginners Tai Chi*

Tai Chi (Taiji 太極拳) is a gentle, low-impact exercise suitable for students of any age and varying physical ability. It is a therapeutic exercise derived from Chinese martial arts, focusing on the circulation of Chi (Qi 氣), or "life energy" found within all living things. Sometimes called "moving meditation," millions around the world practice it daily as a gentle stress reducing exercise.

Some benefits of Tai Chi include:

~ Relief from asthma symptoms, back pain, arthritis, high blood pressure, and more.

Intro. to Basic Qigong Theory & Practice

The 2-hour workshop will cover:

~  An introduction to basic Qigong Theory
~  Buddhist versus Taoist breathing.
~  Four Gates breathing theory and practice
~  Putting theory into action with YMAA’s Primary Qigong routine.

Pushing Hands Class

To be covered:
~ Gain an awareness of your center.
~ Develop rooting.
~ Explore the fundamental energies of  Tai Chi.
~ Transition from stationary to moving pushing hands.

Tai Chi Continuation

This program is for those who have:

~ Completed at least Part One of the Yang’s 108 Style Tai Chi Form
~ As well as those who have studied the Long Form for an extended period.

Length: 12-week session
When: Wednesdays starting June 15th, 7 to 8:15pm | Sundays starting June 26th, 7 to 8:15pm
